Simplifying multi organisational financial and performance data

The Mayor of London receives quarterly finance and performance reports from its major bodies (Transport for London, Met Police, London Fire Brigade and the London Legacy Development Corporation). Each reporting body has varying enterprise financial systems and reporting systems ranging from SAP through to Oracle, PowerBI and ExecView.

A feasibility study was required to identify how consolidated reporting could dynamically extract existing data, new data and associated commentary from these systems into an aggregated report. Such an approach would both remove the need for existing manual as well as improve the surfacing of the content into a digestible and drillable live reporting dashboard.

Our data analysts, system architects and technical teams ran deep technical dive discovery into existing as-is systems to understand data stores, security protocols and data transfer approaches whilst our user experience architects devised the to-be system for multiple internal users.
